Reimagining the Metaverse

Mark Zuckerburg has been spearheading the movement towards a world of virtual experiences. However, what if the missing component of a successful virtual reality is within reality itself. I believe we got it all wrong.

In Philippine context, the use of this virtual movement can not only distract from our reality, but could be of value and add to someones livelihood as well! To an extent, the dependence toward this virtual reality escape becomes significantly important in ones survival (an inverse ideal, such that virtual reality are focused on gaming and escaping current reality to explore an outside world whereas this idea becomes a necessity to ones survival / livelihood – cool!).

Virtual realities should be a solution to a problem within our own society. Not merely an escape to tangent off without any real benefits – think of leveling up, gaining experiences, unlocking rewards and certain items to show of and most importantly the idea that in any video game. The more you play, the more time you invest, the more you are able to enjoy life! Quite frankly, this ideal is farfetch in Philippine context, such ideal does not exist as Filipino reality does not provide this video game like context. Having Filipinos lose hope of any real possibilities of leveling up in life. Fathers live their whole lives as who they were taught to be, and not who they could become. Not all of course, but a significant amount is to be true.

(Currently, there is a law… PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO PAY TAXES!)

With the help of Monetization, Virtual experiences can have its payoffs. Surely this wont be an easy task. But it is an avenue that can prove to be of self sustaining cycle – the user does his “virtual task/experience” with a subsequent reward or benefit generated by the virtual game.

(Therefore, I will explore and test out the study if it is possible to use the virtual platform towards the livelihood of the users. I will explain later with an idea.)

Therefore, a virtual community must have its own currency!
